Volunteering for Witness Service Support

Volunteering for Witness Service I was wondering if you may be able to assist me, my name is Beverley and I’m currently the Volunteer Development Team Leader for Citizens Advice Witness Service and work across West Midlands, West Mercia and Warwickshire. I’m looking at making contact with different organisations across my area to inform them about our services and promote our volunteering opportunities. The Citizens Advice Witness Service operates in all criminal courts across England and wales, our trained volunteers provide practical help, emotional support and information to witnesses so that they feel valued, respected and informed and able to give their best evidence in court, we also have our new Outreach Service for vulnerable victims and witnesses, which means we have a team of trained volunteers who can support victims and witnesses outside of courts. We are always looking for volunteers who would like to support people within their community, for more information about our services please visit our website: https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/about-us/citizens-advice-witness-service/. We continuously promote our volunteering opportunities across the country and was hoping that you may be able to assist by displaying our leaflets at your meetings or in your newsletters for anyone who may be interested in volunteering within their community, we would be happy to send out our leaflets to you, however, we would need Birmingham, Dudley, Walsall and Coventy NARPO address or email details. If you prefer, we would be happy to give you or each area a call or arrange to meet with you to discuss our services and volunteering opportunities in more detail. Please do not hesitate to contact me on 07738329320 or via email: Beverley.carty@citizensadvice.org.uk.
