Increase in Police Pensions and State Pensions April 2027
Subject to a Parliamentary Order in January or February, police pensions will rise by 3.5% in April 2027 in line with annual inflation (CPI) to September 2026.
State pensions are currently subject to the 'Triple Lock' - meaning they increase by Annual Earnings (to July), CPI (to September) or 2.5%, whichever is the highest. Annual Earnings rose to 3.9% in July and subject to a Parliamentary Order, state pensions will rise 3.9% in April 2027.
NARPO's annual subscription rises by CPI each year and the figure for 2027 will be £28.92, a rise of 9p a month from 2026. The deduction is usually made from the February police pension payment for those members not paying direct to the Branch.
